A LITTLE BIT MORE
Stories are the cornerstones of our lives. As a society, we share our hopes, our dreams, and our vulnerabilities through stories. In 2009, I decided to share my thoughts on the books that I read. Despite reading an incredible number of books each year, I found that there were very few books with characters that looked like me. From then on, I decided to focus on Asian American storytelling because there wasn’t enough attention on it.
Since then, I’ve written about identity, diversity, culture, and art for publications including Los Angeles Review of Books, Zora Mag, Apartment Therapy, and more. Stories are for telling and I hope that I can continue to bear witness to all of them.
