My friend Olivia emailed me with the idea to do holiday gift guides and I thought it was a great idea. I was going to do one anyway and why not team up? For today, I’m doing a gift guide for travelers.
1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
I actually took the UK edition of the book instead of the US edition for an aesthetic reason. I prefer the UK cover of the book to the US edition. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is set in Prague but has minor scenes in Paris and other exotic places. I reviewed it earlier this year and you can find my review of it here.
2. Nook HD by Barnes and Noble
I’m a fan of the tablets that Barnes and Noble makes. Barnes and Noble is a bookseller after all and they know what people want in terms of reading experience. I personally have a Nook Simple Touch but the new Nook HD looks very nice. It’s aesthetically pleasing (I love the rounded corners!) and is quite light for a 7 inch tablet.
3. Moleskine Travel Journal
I’m a huge fan of Moleskine journals and I found this journal to be perfect for travelers! It has a section for planning out trips, handy trip info (time zones, temperature, airport codes and more). It has the typical “Moleskine” things- acid-free paper, rounded corners, rear expandable pocket, ribbon placeholder, and sewn pages.
4. Map and Country Flag Watches
These are available on ASOS and they’re on sale at the time of this post. ASOS is a UK-based online retailer that offers free shipping both ways (purchase and return) with no minimum purchase needed. I’ve been a fan of them for a while now.
These watches are unisex, which is perfect!

5. Globe Necklace (Etsy)
I love trinket necklaces and this is no different. Apparently the globe charm can be turned like a real globe.
